Today we learned math games to help us reinforce our understanding of different number concepts. Room 5 used ten frame cards to help us visualize numbers, which will help us with our mental math. (For example: Eight is 5 and 3. It is also, two less than ten.) We also played games where we compared the quantity of numbers using the terms greater than and less than. Room 4 used dice and game boards to play Pumpkin Bump, Boo Bump and Catch the Ghost to practice adding skills.
We will be having a Celebration of Learning evening, where you will have an opportunity to come to our classrooms to learn more about the math games we are playing. Our Math Game Family Night will be on Wednesday, November 15th between 6:30-8pm. We hope to see many of you there.
