Fooling Your Senses

Just like optical illusions, we can fool our other senses. Here is the experiment we did this week and Science table.

1. Fill one container with hot water 
2. Fill one container with ice cold water
3. Fill one container with lukewarm water
4. Place one hand in the hot water and the other in the ice cold water
5. Count to 30
6. Place both hands in the lukewarm 

Did your senses get fooled? The hand that was in the cold water would perceive the water as being hot and the hand that was in the hot water would perceive the water as being cold.
